Holocaust Memorial Day

January 27: Holocaust Memorial Day
- Holocaust Memorial Day is the day for everyone to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust, under Nazi Persecution, and in the genocides which followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur. The theme for this year is Be the light in the darkness. There are a range of resources available for churches who wish to commemorate this day.
There are also resources for use by churches, clergy and individual Christians to grow knowledge about Holocaust Education - including Holocaust Memorial Day - produced by the Council of Christians and Jews (CCJ). There are three resources currently available, The Light Sleeper – Antisemitism Today, Moral and Spiritual Dilemmas in Challenging Times and Holocaust Memorial Day.
